Return to the Fang Ming! Dove the Fang Ming, a Chinese fishing trawler that was confiscated and subsequently sunk by the Mexican Navy for illegal fshing and human trafficing. Wreck dive with penetration, max depth of 19.4 meters, bottom temperature 22 degrees. Landed in sandy bottom at 18 meters, stern of the wreck. Forward to the bow, covered in sea fans. Around the bow, down the port side and up to 18 meters. Penetrated the port side, moving athwartships, exiting the starboard. Interior encrusted, many fish. Asher and Amy expertly navigate their first wreck penetration. Re-enter the starboard side and begin to move aft through what was likely crew living space and fish processing area, many large fish hiding in the corners, very poor visibility. Bit pf panic as I know this is first wreck dive for Asher and Amy. I am glad I have previosuly been on the wreck in much better visibility conditions. Exit onto the stern deck, cargo holds open. Transit back to the bow, Amy and Tobias enter the pilot-house. Asher decides to not enter after getting snagged on the door at entry, proud of him for this decision. We swim athwartships and wait for them to exit. They do not appear. Asher and I begin to swim aft and see bubbles emanating from the deck, indicating Amy and Tobais are inside the wreck. We all re-join at the stern. Very proud of the family for their willingness to adventure and ability to adapt. Not an easy dive. All should be proud. Amazing dive.
